Cleaning & Polishing

Over time metal and gemstones can get dirty or scratched. We are always happy to clean and polish any Platandia pieces to restore their sparkle and shine.

Some care and maintenance can also easily be done at home with household goods. A simple clean with a soft toothbrush and some household detergent in warm water can go a long way to clean a piece of jewellery. Some gemstones like tanzanite are heat sensitive so be careful to avoid using very hot or boiling water.

Loose stones

Everyday wear and tear can affect the security of your diamonds and gemstones. We advise you to check your stones every few months for stones that might have become loose.

We will also perform this check on pieces that have been brought in to us for cleaning and polishing and tighten any stones where necessary.

Damage repair

While Platandia pieces are made to last a lifetime, accidents happen and heavy wear can damage jewellery pieces. Should your Platandia piece be damaged, please contact us and we will be happy to repair it.
